About Us

A community where faith and love abound.

Legacy Faith Center is a vibrant and inclusive faith community in Jefferson, Georgia. We exist to be a place where people are welcomed as they are, where faith has room to grow, and where the love of Christ is something you can feel long before anyone explains it to you.

Who we are

Some people arrive here carrying questions. Others arrive carrying weight they have not been able to set down anywhere else. Both are welcome, and neither is asked to have it all figured out first.

We are not built around a program or a personality. We are built around a conviction: that every person carries the image of God, and that a community shaped by compassion can change what a family passes on to the generation behind it. That is what we mean by legacy — not a building or a name, but what endures in the people we serve.

  • Our Mission

To create a welcoming spiritual home where people encounter God, grow in faith, and are equipped to serve the community around them.

  • Our Vision

A community in which no family carries its burdens alone — where faith, compassion, and practical help meet the people who need them most.

  • Our Values

Faith that is lived, not only spoken. Compassion without conditions. Dignity for every person. And honesty about the fact that all of us are still being formed.

What we do

  • Prayer & Spiritual Support

Bring us what you are carrying. Prayer requests are received in confidence and prayed over by our team — no form of struggle is too small or too heavy.

  • Bible Study & Discipleship

Groups that read Scripture together honestly, ask real questions, and make room for people at every stage of their walk — including the very beginning.

  • Community Outreach

Faith that reaches past our own doors: connecting families to resources, standing with those in transition, and serving our neighbors in Jefferson and beyond.

Our Founder

Dr. Aluney Elferr de Albuquerque Silva

Founder

Dr. Albuquerque founded Legacy Faith Center out of something he had seen too many times to ignore: families reaching the end of every available resource and still having nowhere to be known. He had spent his working life in human services, walking with children, youth, and families through the hardest seasons of their lives — and he kept arriving at the same conclusion. Programs can stabilize a family. Only a community can hold one.

For more than two decades he has served children, youth, and families in human services — as a clinician, as a program director, and as a leader of teams caring for young people in crisis. Alongside that work he helped lead an institute in Brazil that has walked with families for over twenty years. Everything he learned in those rooms shapes how Legacy Faith Center receives the person who walks through its doors.

He holds a Doctor of Theology and a Doctor of Psychoanalysis, with master’s degrees in both fields, and completed his theological studies at the Faculdade de Educação Teológica do Estado de São Paulo. He is also the author of several books on love, forgiveness, faith, and leadership.

“A legacy is not what we build. It is what we leave in the people we loved well.”
